What is industrial digital twinning, and what do VB products twin?
Industrial digital twinning is building a live digital copy of an operating plant and keeping it current from the field. VB Engineering's twinning products each twin one part of the plant: Wistwin the assets, ElecTwin the electrical system, VijAI the shop floor, Zentry the gate, Forgecore the workforce record, Drona VR the training, 360Vista the site and InspectWin Audit Edition the audit trail.
A digital twin is a live record, not a 3D picture.
A model is a snapshot. A twin stays connected to the plant, so it changes when the plant changes.
A twin is only as good as its capture.
Laser scans, photographed nameplates and gate events are what keep a twin true. That is why VB builds capture and twin together.

InspectWin: the label now carries a date. Who tracks it?
NEC 2026 Article 110.16(B) puts the study date on the arc flash label. InspectWin holds every label, its study date and its change log against the asset, so the five-year review is a calendar entry. It runs inside the VB Arc360 five-year arc flash programme.

Most power studies fail at the input, not the calculation.
Single line diagrams drift, relay settings change and cable schedules go missing. The model is built on a drawing that stopped matching the plant years ago.
Every data point photographed, approved, then modelled.
Nameplates, relay settings, CT and PT ratios and cable data are captured on a tablet at site, approved by your own engineer, and exported straight into ETAP or SKM.

- Approval comes before calculation. Your engineer signs off the evidence first, so the basis of every study is an audit trail you hold.
- Capture runs offline, because switch rooms rarely have a signal, and syncs when the tablet is back in range.

What is an industrial digital twin?
An industrial digital twin is a live digital copy of an operating plant that stays connected to it. Unlike a 3D model, which is a snapshot, a twin is updated from field capture, sensors and events, so it changes when the plant changes.
Are VB twinning products built in-house?
Yes. The products are developed by VB Group teams, and each one started as a problem VB engineers met repeatedly on live plants: stale registers, unenforced safety rules and training that proved attendance rather than competence.
Can we buy one product without the others or without VB engineering services?
Yes. Each product is licensed on its own and none requires another product or an engineering engagement first. A VB study, scan or HAZOP can also be delivered with no product attached.
Which twinning product should a plant start with?
Start with the product attached to a finding already on the books. An ageing arc flash study points to ElecTwin and InspectWin. A recurring PPE finding points to VijAI. Gate and contractor records that fail audit point to Zentry or Forgecore. The configurator on this page builds the stack for you.
Do VB twinning products need new hardware?
Usually very little. VijAI runs on existing CCTV with zero new cameras needed to start. Drona VR runs on standalone headsets with no PC or Wi-Fi during training. Zentry adds kiosks at gates and docks. ElecTwin needs a tablet.
Where does our plant data sit?
Industrial customers generally keep plant data, camera feeds and access records inside the plant network, so VB products support on-premise deployment. VijAI offers on-premise edge, hybrid or cloud processing. Data residency, export format and retention are written into the contract.
How long does a deployment take?
It depends on the product and the data the plant already has. Zentry publishes 4 to 8 weeks for a sitewide deployment, plus 2 to 4 weeks for extended scope. Other timelines are set at scoping against the plant's starting data.
What is InspectWin Audit Edition?
InspectWin Audit Edition is third-party inspection software for organisations that audit sites they do not own. Auditors work offline on Android, every photograph is sealed with GPS, a timestamp and a SHA-256 hash at capture, every audit passes automated integrity checks, and sites close findings through a portal. It is built for ISO/IEC 17020 inspection bodies, ISO/IEC 17021-1 certification bodies and multi-site audit programmes.
Can we download VB apps from public app stores?
Yes. ElecTwin is on Google Play for Android field data capture. Drona Cleanroom, METWIN and 360 VISTA are on the Meta Quest store. Enterprise deployments are set up with VB at scoping.
How does a LiDAR scan become part of the twin?
A VB laser scan is registered into one point cloud and modelled in 3D. That model forms the spatial layer of Wistwin (PlanTwin) and can be reused as a 360Vista walkthrough, so one capture serves both the twin and remote site visits.
How does ElecTwin connect to an arc flash study?
ElecTwin is stage one of every VB arc flash study. Field data is photographed at the panel, approved by the client's engineer and exported into ETAP or SKM. After the study, InspectWin in Wistwin holds the labels, the study date and the change log.
