VB Engineering flies a field crew to your site, from Sydney to Perth, captures every bus with ElecTwin and delivers the arc flash study, labels and PPE tables to AS/NZS 4836:2023 and IEEE 1584-2018. The five-stage VB Arc360 program then keeps the study current.

VB Engineering delivers arc flash studies on site in all six Australian states and both mainland territories. A VB field crew flies in for the data walkdown, the network is modelled in ETAP or SKM PowerTools to IEEE 1584-2018, and labels and PPE tables are issued to AS/NZS 4836:2023 for review by the site electrical team.

An arc flash is an uncontrolled release of electrical energy through air. On Australian sites it most often starts during routine switching, racking or fault finding on a live switchboard, and it releases heat, pressure and molten metal within a fraction of a second.
An arc fault injures a worker during routine switching.
The WorkSafe inspector, insurer and counsel ask for your electrical risk assessment.
Outdated labels, unverified data, lapsed training records.
Negligence exposure, penalties, insurance disputes, prosecution risk.
Safety is not a report. It is a responsibility.
NFPA 70E does not stop at the study. It expects labelling, training, auditing and renewal to follow. VB Arc360 closes the loop · five engineered stages, 72 degrees each, that take your plant from assessed to permanently protected.

Most brownfield arc flash studies fail at the input layer. Single-line diagrams drift, settings change, cable schedules vanish. We close the gap with a photographic walkdown of every nameplate, every relay HMI setting, every cable schedule, uploaded to the ElecTwin cloud platform. Your engineers approve the evidence before a single calculation runs.

NFPA 70E 110.6 requires Qualified Persons. VB Arc360 delivers three reinforcing engines · digital certification, immersive simulation, and a branded animated video your workforce sees at every induction.

NFPA 70E 110.6 aligned. Structured online assessments, automated pass and fail criteria, certificates with Safety Hero GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE, Participation tiers. Records that defend you in audits.

Perpetual licence including the VR headset device. Realistic arc flash hazard simulation, PPE selection drills, safe-work-practice scenarios. Risk-free, experiential, memorable. Workers practise the response before they face the risk.

A professionally produced 3D animated arc flash video · about three minutes · customised with your logo and site context. Plays at inductions, toolbox talks and contractor onboarding. Your standard, every single time.
PPEAI is the AI vision platform from VB Group's VijAI suite. It connects to your existing CCTV and verifies arc-rated PPE compliance in real time, in the electrical rooms your study flagged. NFPA 70E requires the employer to audit field work and verify procedures are followed · PPEAI automates that duty.
An arc flash study is a snapshot. Plants change · feeders are added, settings drift, people rotate. VB Arc360 is designed around that reality, with renewal engineered in from day one.

Many Australian brownfield sites run on single line diagrams that no longer match the switchroom. VB closes that gap on site, before any calculation runs.
Every nameplate, relay setting, cable run and network fault level letter is photographed during the fly-in walkdown and uploaded to ElecTwin. Your site electrical team reviews and approves the evidence before the ETAP or SKM model is built, so the audit trail travels with the study.
The VB team that runs the arc flash study also delivers load flow, short circuit and protection coordination, Qualified Person training, VR safety training, PPE monitoring with VijAI and a digital twin of the switchroom, so an Australian site deals with one accountable engineering partner.
Studies are built in licensed ETAP and SKM PowerTools to IEEE 1584-2018 and IEC 60909, then labelled and documented in line with AS/NZS 4836:2023 and the site safe work procedures, with remote engineering keeping the cost per bus competitive.
Australian arc flash work sits under the model WHS Regulations, which place the duty to manage electrical risk on the person conducting the business, and AS/NZS 4836:2023, the standard for safe work on or near low-voltage electrical installations. IEEE 1584-2018 is the accepted method for incident energy and IEC 60909 for short-circuit current. Above 15 kV, network operators apply ENA NENS 09, and battery DC systems follow AS/NZS 5139. Arc-rated PPE cannot be defensibly selected without an incident energy study.
